Part-Time Circulation Clerk - 15-16 hours/week

The Clarendon Hills Public Library is seeking a part-time Circulation Clerk. This position performs all Circulation Desk functions including checking materials in and out; issuing library cards; accepting and processing reserve requests; taking fines/fees for overdue, damaged or lost items; answering and routing telephone calls; and serving patrons in a friendly and competent manner.

This position is 15-16 hours/week and pays $12.00/hour with a schedule of Mondays 9 am -1 pm; Thursdays 9 am – 1 pm; and alternating Fridays (9 am – 5 pm) and Saturdays (9 am – 4 pm). This position does not include benefits.  

Part-Time Circulation Clerk - 23-24 hours/week

The Clarendon Hills Public Library is seeking a part-time Circulation Clerk. This position performs all Circulation Desk functions including checking materials in and out; issuing library cards; accepting and processing reserve requests; taking fines/fees for overdue, damaged or lost items; answering and routing telephone calls; and serving patrons in a friendly and competent manner.

This position is 23-24 hours/week and pays $12.00/hour with a schedule of Wednesdays 9 am – 5 pm; Thursdays 1 pm – 9 pm; and alternating Fridays (9 am – 5 pm) and Saturdays (9 am – 4 pm). This position includes retirement benefits through IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund).

Requirements: Applicants must have a commitment to excellent customer service, be able to use computer technology in a library setting, and be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.  Must have high school diploma or equivalent.   Preference given to LTA or MLS students.
