Due to the rapid rise in cases of COVID-19 in DuPage and Cook Counties and surrounding areas, the Clarendon Hills Public Library building is closed to the public beginning Monday, November 23.

Although the building is closed, services continue! Items may be picked up using our Contactless Holds Pickup Service and the library continues to offer online programming, digital content, and phone reference help.

The library is taking this action with the guidance of the Illinois Department of Public Health and other agencies. The closure is intended to help slow the spread of the virus and keep our community and staff safe and healthy.

The Contactless Holds Pickup Service works like this:

STEP ONE: Place holds on library materials.
You can request library materials by placing holds through the SWAN Online Catalog or by calling the library at 630-323-8188.

The designated days/times for this service are:
Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays: 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Wednesdays and Fridays: 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

STEP FOUR: Pick up your library materials.
When you arrive at the library during the designated days/times for Contactless Holds Pickup, call the library at 630-323-8188 to let them know that you are out front. A library staff member will bring your bagged items out to a table on the library's portico by the front doors.

These are challenging times and we must work together to keep our community safe and healthy. We look forward to seeing you again!
