For People Living in Incorporated Clarendon Hills

For Adults

To renew a library card, bring your expired or almost expired library card and a valid driver's license or IL State ID card showing your current Clarendon Hills address to the Front Desk of the library.

If your driver's license or IL State ID card does not show your Clarendon Hills address, then please bring photo ID and one proof of residency such as utility bill, lease/mortgage documents, or current tax bill that shows your name and CH address.

For Children

Children can renew their library card without a parent present, if they have their physical library card with them and have a parent with an unexpired CHPL library card in good standing.

If not, a parent needs to come to the library with his/her child and show the parent's valid driver's license or IL State ID card with current Clarendon Hills address or photo ID (without address) and one proof of residency such as utility bill, lease/mortgage documents, or current tax bill that shows parent's name and CH address for the child’s card to be renewed.

Any outstanding fees/fines must be paid before a library card can be renewed.  If you no longer have your physical library card and you need to renew it, a new card can be made for you.

Library cards need to be renewed every 3 years.
