DuPage County residents wishing to register to vote may do so at the library during normal business hours.  Not all library staff are certified to handle voter registration, so you may want to call the library before you come to make sure appropriate staff is available to register you.


In order to register to vote, you must:

  • be a citizen of the United States
  • be 18 years of age by Election Day
  • have resided within your precinct for thirty days as of the next election
  • present two forms of identification, one of which must list your current DuPage County address

No one may register from a business, mailing center or Post Office box address.

For applicants born outside the United States additional information is required. Naturalized citizens should call the library at 630-323-8188 for more specific information.
